Meyking places.

A building this size is a tribe of tribes: owners, designers, dozens of trade partners and thousands of craftspeople, all meyking the same thing, in the same place, in the right order.

At Webcor I worked on how that work flows — lean construction, and the planning systems that keep the trades pointed the same way. On most of these projects I was a small part of a very big team.

The part I’m proudest of wasn’t a wall or a gate. It was the planning system we built to coordinate the work — Last Planner sessions in the big room, an old hangar on the airfield; a six-week look-ahead on the wall; huddles on the apron with the airport still running around us — and how well it held under the weight of a project that size.
